Our lead asset is pacibekitug (also known as TOUR006), a long-acting, fully-human, anti-IL-6 monoclonal antibody. Pacibekitug has previously completed multiple Phase 1 and Phase 2 clinical trials. Tourmaline is developing pacibekitug in atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD), abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) and thyroid eye disease (TED). General Responsibilities:

Tourmaline is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Senior Accountant to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Accounting, this role works to ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial metrics and reporting for our organization. Primary responsibilities include management of the accounts payable process, performance of the monthly accounting close, and execution of day-to-day financial operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day transactional accounting activities, including accounts payable processing and vendor payments
  • Prepare month-end and quarter-end reconciliations, including cash, investments, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accounts payable and accrued expenses, and assist with accelerating the accounting close process
  • Prepare quarterly review and annual audit support and interact with external auditors
  • Work cross-functionally with all departments, particularly related to the accounts payable process
  • Serve as the finance contact for vendor outreach and communication
  • Other ad hoc projects and reporting requests as needed

Education and Licensure:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required, additional post-graduate degree in accounting or finance is highly preferred
  • Active CPA license preferred

Experience and Attributes:

  • A minimum of 3 years in roles of increasing responsibility, ideally with a mix of public accounting and industry positions
  • Experience at a pre-commercial life sciences company is strongly preferred
  • Experience working with an accounting ERP (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle Fusion, etc.) is strongly preferred
  • Motivated and reliable self-starter with a strong work ethic
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, including ability to meet deadlines
  • Comfort collaborating in remote team environment; can work independently and leverage technology to engage with team members
  • In-depth knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and experience with technical accounting research
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills
  • Confidence reaching out to vendors and individuals outside of G&A to resolve issues

Base Salary Range: $100,000 – $127,000, based on candidate professional experience level.
